Need help with Vuescan on Nikon LS-8000

I am trying to learn how to use Vuescan (Pro Edition) with my Nikon
LS-8000. The documentation is rather difficult to decipher!

I have gotten good results from medium format negs, but I can't figure
out how to scan more than the first frame in a strip (usually four 6 x
4.5 cm images.)

I tried using "batch scan" but the preview window will only show me
the first frame, and a little bit of the second.

Can anyone walk me through this? Thanks.

The same here. I remember someone mentioned that Vuescan probably has
a wrong measurement of the opening of the 8000 film holder. I emailed
Ed Hamrick, and his reply only pointed to the setting options that I
had already tried many time (to no avail).

So I came to a conclusion that batch scan DOESN'T WORK on the LS-8000
with Vuescan. That said, I can live without batch scan, since I'd
prefer to set scan parameters one frame at a time. Batch "preview"
would be nice, however. Best of luck.
