Default Dust removal setting Epson RX-510

I scanned some old negs with my RX510 and a person's mouth
disappeared, replaced by what looked like a strip of flesh-coloured
tape. I tried again with the dust removal box unchecked and the mouith
was back to normal. Is that sort of thing common with dust removal
software or is it a bug in the Epson software?

Thanks
Mike

What Ink cartridges are in your Rx510 T048xxx or T049xxx series? Just
curious.

There is some talk about the ink being better than the R200/300/500 models.
Do you have any info on whether that is in fact true?

No. All I know is that the 8x10" prints look good to me.
