I have only been using the 5400 scanner for a short period of time so
I hope a more experienced person can solve my problem. Although I own Silverfast AI for the 5400, it seems that only the Minolta scan utility can initialize the scanner each time I start it up. Is there any way for Silverfast to do the initialization? Maybe I have a setting incorrectly applied somewhere. TIA. Dale |

Remove the film holder and close the scanner door. Press shift+control+I (Windows) or command+control+I (Macintosh) to initialize the scanner. -- CSM1 http://www.carlmcmillan.com -- |

Thanks for the idea, but LaserSoft seems to have a policy of letting
their employees take the weekend off. I was hopeful that one of the more learned readers of this group could give me a jump start this weekend.
