Hello.
I just wondered if anyone has a HP Scanjet 5530C Scanner, and if so if it is any good? I am thinking of getting one but just wondered what your opinion is, or whether you would recommend something else? My main reason is because it can scan photos quickly. I know you're going to say that I'll still need to touch them up in a program, but that's no problem. As I have a lot of photos though, I need something that will work quite quickly just to get the job done and have them scanned into my system to start with, but to also provide decent scanning quality. I though this might be a good choice but would welcome any other suggestions. Also if you can tell me what programs you would recommend for touching up any old photos that need it I'd be grateful. Cheers John |

I like the 5300C, and it works with XP. Original included software with the
scanner is Adobe Photo Deluxe, a rather limited package. A couple of economical basic photo adjustment programs are Photo Shop Elements 2 and Jasc Paint Shop Pro. Corel Photo Paint is also good, but I believe the company is now only including with Corel Draw.
