Canoscan 5000F and Antivirus compatibility

After two months of investigation I've discovered that Cansocan 5000F
software (Toolbox or CanonGear) in not compatible with Panda Antivirus
Titanium 2004 in Windows XP Home environment.
With both installed, after few minutes from boot, I had always the
famous error "cannot communicate with scanner...".
Deinstalling Panda Titanium, everything it's ok.
It seems ok also using Panda Platinum or Norton Antivirus.
Has anyone experienced the same? If your Canoscan is working in
Windows XP, which antivirus have you?
