Default Minolta 5400 Probs

Anyone else experiencing problems with the film holder in the 5400?
Mine seems to have locked up on me. I managed to get it back out, but now it
won't reload (reset) properly. Is this a common prob?

Well, I once had a problem with mine; it was the neg strip holder. But it
was me: I failed to properly close one of the locks.
Never had other holder-related troubles so far...

I had a problem with my Minolta 5400. One night it stopped loading the
holders. I returned it to the store I bought it from, since it was still
under warranty. Ten weeks later I was able to pick it up. The agent for
Minolta replaced a motor and a printer circuit board.
I hope you have better luck than me.

Mine appears to be working OK so far.
Only once did I have a hardware problem; the door stuck open, but I was able
to close it with the little pin tool that came with the scanner.

This has happened to me twice, the scanner was replaced with a new one each
time.

Sorry to hear that, I never experience problems (other than VueScan
Calibration related ones).

Bart
