HP Scanjet 3200C under XP

I recall having used this scanner once under XP, and the installation files
are all there. But I packed it away for a year or so, and now having hooked
it back up, and using the "install new hardware wizard," there are problems.
When the system is ready to install the driver, I get an ominous message to
the effect that the "driver is not signatured for Windows XP," and terrible
things may happen if I proceed. The HP Website has two updates for the
driver, specifically for XP, and I've installed those. But nothing changes.
Service Pack Two problem??

Click Continue anyway.
That Message means that the manufactuer did not pay Microsoft the Windows
Logo fee.
