I'm using Epson3170 with Windows2000 SP4. I've been using Vuescan
7.6.8x, they work fine. But when I started up Vuescan8.0 with my scanner on, it crashed immediately. However if I start it up standalone (without scanner attached to computer), everything seems fine. Has anybody ever run into same situation? |

I thought it crashed also on my Windows XP using both a Epson 3200 and
Minolta 2900. I sat there for about 10 minutes and finally walked away. Came back 30 minutes later and it was up and running. I closed it and ran it again. This next time it openned slowly but faster than before. Try openning it and just take a walk. Come back and if it's open try again and see if it's any faster. Don't know why. lindonghui1226@163.com (Mike) wrote in message news:<46d5ed.0405121916.4c47ff5a@posting.google.com>... > I'm using Epson3170 with Windows2000 SP4. You can download it from: http://www.hamrick.com/vsm.html The problem was a compiler error with inlining strcpy - it was quite obscure, and I don't really know why it showed up in 8.0 but not 7.6.
