Default [Vuescan] Multisampling on Coolscan 5000 ED ? And on Coolscan V (LS-50) ?

Hello.

I'm actually comparing the capabilities of the Coolscan V and 5000 ED, and
the one-pass multisampling is the feature I absolutely need.

Does someone know when multisampling will be implemented in Vuescan for
the Nikon Coolscan 5000 ED ?

And will it be possible to have it with the LS-50 ?

I heard that the LS-50 cannot multisample: is it materially
impossible, or just a software limitation that Vuescan could overcome ?

By the way, I didn't hear anywhere if Nikon Scan works on Linux.

Thanks.

Only Ed.

LS50 does not support one pass multisample.Probably in the cmd set in
the firmware on the scanner. CS4000 does. Essentially the same scanner.

AFIK Nikon has only "supported" Win and Mac OSs.
