When I plug in my TPU according to instructions, the light in the
upper box doesn't come on. Instead the ordinary flatbed scanner light remains on. I think the system for the Perfection 1660 is the same. Any suggestions? Or have I bought a dud one? |

From within the scanner software, have you changed the scanning object type
to transparency or slide (i.e. not reflective type)? Doug -- Doug's "MF Film Holder" for batch scanning "strips" of 120/220 medium format film: http://home.earthlink.net/~dougfish...olderintro.html |

Yes, the Epson Twain window lets me select "Document Source" as "TPU:
Pos. Film." The problem is that the TPU light does not take over from the flatbed scanner light. Nor is the Scan button active in TPU mode. Plugged in the TPU at the rear? It's a separate cable. |
