Scanner/Printer as Copier

I am using VueScan 7.6.73 and now 7.6.74 on an Epson 1670 scanner and am
trying to make same size copies on an Epson 740 printer.

The problem begins due to the Epson 740 having a .12 (more like .3)
unprintable area around the edge of 8.5 x 11 paper. When I print with no
offsets or cropping, page is pushed to the right (and down) by the
amount of the unprintable area, cutting off the right side of the
printed material.

One would think that a simple .12 (more like .3) cropping of the
original 8.5 x 11 in preview would solve the problem, but apparently
that is too easy because printed copy is still pushed to the right and
the right side of printed material is still cut off as if I did not crop
before printing.

Interestingly, when I scan to file the file contains new scan with
proper cropping... and so does the scan tab display in VueScan.

I have tried many different variations of cropping/offsets without much
success. For a short spell, I was getting a smaller left margin, but not
as small as intended with printed material still pushed to the right.

Is there another area within VueScan that allows me to adjust for the
unprintable margins on my printer other than cropping/offset?.. or is
this an area of VueScan that needs attention?

If you use Irfanview to acquire (scan) and print your documents, there is
an option in Irfanview print dialog to fit the image to the printer. Makes
it very easy to copy a 8.5 X 11 inch document, of course the size is never
the same as the original. Irfanview shrinks the document to the printer
margins.

For Irfanview you must have the TWAIN driver for your scanner installed.
