phaser 8200DP and maintenance kit expiration

Today I found on phaser message to replace maintenance kit in 30 days.
The kit should last 10000 pages or 15 months. Second is true. Is there
some way to use this kit longer than mentioned 30 days ?

Not a definintive answer on this.

I just logged a call on similar (860DX) as the printer has failed to
identify when the new kit got installed and I am on less than 30 days.
Support says to ignore it the printer will keep on working.

For all intends and purposes you should have a spare kit ... and leave
it sealed ... so far I had a faulty kit (there is a chip in there) and I
am suspicious that their 40K kits may only do 10K.
