Default Problem with LJ4 printer settings

Since my computer crashed and I reinstalled all my programs and hardware
some of my LJ4 printer settings have to be reset every time I go to print a
new job.

I refer to the paper size, resolution, and even the fact that I want to use
the laser jet in preference to the bubble jet, although the latter is not
switched on, always have to be reset on the computer. They are set on the
LJ4 but this doesn't seem to make any difference.

Can someone please suggest where the answer lies?

Eric

You could start by suggesting what operating system you are using, and
what version.

Windows 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, Windows NT 3.1, 3.5, 4.0, Windows 95, 98,
ME, 2000, XP.... or FreeBSD, OpenBSD, BeOS, Linux (which one), OS/2,
......

Don't just assume everyone is using the same as you.

Sorry I have upset you, Bob, by not saying which operating system I am
using, but had I realised that this was such a vital factor I might not have
needed to ask the question in the first place!

I am using Windows 98.

I would have thought that it was an extremely basic point. You have
clearly eliminated hardware problems (unless very serious).

Then I can't help. I don't use it.
