I'm not certain if I'm in the best newsgroup for this question but I
ran across a lot of web cam discussions in this group so here goes. I'm trying to use a web cam to assist a visually impaired individual read printed material. I've used a product called digi-Watcher and it's the closest I've come to a solution. What I'm looking for is freeware or shareware that takes the output of a webcam and fills most of the screen with an enlarged image of what's being seen by the camera. This way the individual can read what the camera is viewing and see more of it by either moving the camera, moving the target or by scrolling on the screen. If anyone knows of software that will address this requirement I'd like to know about it. For this trial we're using a bottom of the line Logitech web cam that seems to do ok with capturing the image even though it's limited to 480x640. Thank you. Bill |

Of course that is for Linux. For a MS solution you will have to pay.
