Default Timeline - how to manually resize

I have a 12 minute movie WMM seems to be setting the length of the time line
and there is no option to re-size it.
This is annoying because there are a lot of short clips and I can't see
where I am putting transitions.
Is there any way to manually specify re-specify the scale in the time line?

Do you see the + and - magnifying glass icons just over the top-left
corner of the timeline? Use them to zoom the timeline. Or press page-Up
/ Page Dn keys to achieve the same. Press F9 to fit zoom to timeline length.
