Notes Connector: Outlook 2003 freezes when processing junk mail or rules/alerts features

Hello all,

My Outlook 2003 client appears to be freezing everyone email comes in and
either the junk mail filter
and/or the rules/alerts feature begins to operate on the inbox in the midst
of downloading all the folders
from Notes.

Is there a setting and/or a a fix that would rememdy this problem? This
happens consistently and I have
to turn off all junk mail filtering to allow my program to work, however,
this defeats the purpose of then
having a junk mail filter as all my SPAM message end up in my inbox.

Please advise...
