Default HOW DO I MEND "Error: 5501"

Thanks for this but as I am not a techno person I do not understand:

How do I configure this and who is the administrator i.e. is this
administrator our ISP Freeserve or our email address provider
nameplanet.com?!

Thanks for your help as we are flummoxed by this and not being able to send
emails a real pain in the neck!

Thanks

Thanks

HOW DO I MEND "Error: 5501"That answer is not correct - for starters, you don't use Exchange. <sigh>

Do you have SMTP authentication enabled? The mail server at 10.1.50.1 is not configured as an open relay and you need to enter a username and password to send email.

You don't say which version of outlook, so I can only give general directions on where to look - tools, accounts, open the account settings and look on the outgoing server tab for authentication settings.
