Journal entries are being lost

Within the last two days. One of my users is trying to
retrieve items from his journal and he recieves the
following error.

This item can no longer be found. It may have been
deleted or moved.

Even if he creates a brand new entry and seconds later
tries to access it.

Any help?

Is the folder being Auto Archived? The single most
annoying and pointless feature in Outlook...

Check the settings...right click...select Properties...
