Outlook2k3 losing connection with server

Currently I have a network setup where all the machines have outlook2000 on them and the server is using exchange 2000, the laptop that has outlook2k3 seems to have connection problems to the network it seems to periodically lose its connection to the network but when you try and send recieve email it gives the error "server is unavailable".

Everything that is accessible through the network is accessible to the computer. Yet it still gives the outlook error. The email accout is setup correctly set to the microsoft exchange server and the persons mailbox

I was wondering if this problem might be a problem with outlook2k3? or if anyone has had this problem before and knows how to fix it?
