Default outlook 2k3

i have a multihomed environment. when i setup outlook to
hit the 2k3 exchange server, i wants to resolve the FQDN
which on the primary NIC is a public IP address. i want
to set it up to only look for the server name and not the
FQDM. How do i do this? in oler version you could
either put the IP address or the netbios name in the
client and it wouldn't resolve to the FQDN.
