attachments

I am unable to send attachments by Outlook or O-Express,
in or out of network. I can receive attachments most of
the time. I have default settings and am not using a
virus program on the stand-alone, although there is
protection and a fire-wall on the network. This problem
affects no one else. I am one of two XP systems. I need
suggestions.
