Do you get a message about "localhost"?
Firewalls can cause this...

Every so often downloading email messages slows or stops,
and I have to enter the account properties dialog and
reset several items to the correct information. It's like
Outlook keeps changing these items by itself.

Specifically, the Incoming Mail (POP3) data and the
Incoming Mail Account Name data keep changing.

When I set these back to the information my ISP tells me
to put there, email works fine again.

Any ideas how to make these fields stay the way I put them?
