Default Access to Lotus Notes

I've recently changed jobs and my new employer uses
Outlook. I've downloaded the connector from the
Microsoft web site but still can't access my old email in
the Lotus NSF file format. Error messages make it sound
like I need to install a copy of Notes in order for the
connector to work. Could someone provide some insight?
Thanks.

Yes, I believe you do need to have Notes installed to use the connector. There are some conversion tools that might get aroudn that -- see http://www.slipstick.com/config/convmsg.htm
