Default 553 To send mail, first check your mail with a valid POP account; this prevent

I get this error message intermittently with Outlook. I
cannot find any reference to it or how to fix it within the
MS supposed self help. Dell's expert help, that MS tells
me I need to work with, also are clueless. Any ideas/fixes
appreciated

This means that your Internet mail server requires you to check your mail before you can send messages. Outlook 2002 provides the ability to set up an email account in this fashion. In earlier versions, you pretty much have to live with the message and check your mail twice -- once to hit the POP server, then a second time to send messages.
