Loading Adobe Acrobat 6.0 to laptop with windows XP Professional

I cannot seem to find a way to get it to load properly.
It tells me it cannot find the Adobe PDF Printer driver.
And the read me file gives the impression that acrobat
6.0 and XP do not really get on. It there a
straightforward way to just get it working?
