Default Outlook 2000 Password

I am a novice user, running XP Pro and Outlook 2000.
Verizon.net is my ISP using DSL. PROBLEM: when I set up
the mail accounts my Verizon assigned password will
not "stick" (for lack of a better description). Each time
I receive and/or send e-mail I must enter the password.
Outlook giges me the following error msg: ( There was a
problem logging onto your mail server. You need to enter
a password. Account: 'mail.verizon.net, POP 3
server: 'incoming.verizon.net, ERROR NUMBER 0x800ccc92).

Any solutions short of hari-kari??

Thanks

Default Re: Outlook 2000 Password

Try going to tools, accounts (services if set up in corp. mode), your
account, servers tab, and re-enter your username and password there...
Check the remember password box, click all teh OK's needed to close all
dialoge boxes and try again... that normally works for me.

Cheers.
