But does anyone feel that Outlook is good for CRM purposes or is it
better to use something on top of SQL?

Ah, at long last! :-)

"Something on top of SQL" could be a custom app or something massive &
expensive like MS CRM, which might be overkill for you.

What do you need in a CRM product? www.outlookcrm.com has an eval.

Lanwench,
I would like to keep patient records, birthdays so I can send out
coupons and discounts and congrats, all kinds of other info, patient
claims info, etc.
