Outlook 2003

Recently I wanted to add Outlook as my news Reader and when I went to
customize the menu I went to Tools-Customize-Command Tab-Go- then Moved News
up to the Menu... then when I went to click on it I now get the following
folder pop open -C:\Program Files\Common Files\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\1033

why I dont know but its not pointing to any particular file in this folder
and Ive tried Re-installing Office, Outlook, Re-booting in between each
load.. Ive done everything but totally Uninstall Office 2003 as I was hoping
to save that hassle of calling and getting it re-validated but dont mind it I
have all CD's and legit software... but its just losing all the data and
settings Ive done.. I turned off Restore when I loaded it as I have another
program installed but it failed just the way MS Restore has in the past to
restore correctly so I guess this is where Im at.. its kind of embarrassing
as Im a Certified System Builder and when I got assistance they thought they
had solved my problem when they hadnt and now Im looking for more assistance
from someone a little higher up the food chain as I spent 2 hrs online with
her and she was just reading off screen and showed no absolute reason or
resolution to my situation.... any and all Legit Input would be greatly
appreciated...
