Why a Long Startup time

Suddenly, my Outlook is taking 20 - 25 seconds to open and
respond to mouse selections. It used to be virtually
instant.
I have not knowingly fed it with a large amount of data,
or changed any settings.
I have tried "Office Repair", but it made no difference.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

have you disabled the messanger in your outlook?

Hi Andreas
My MSN Messenger was turned off. I may have done that
recently - can not remember.
Turned it back on again, but it made no difference.
Did I do the right thing, simply enabling MSN Messenger
again?
