Default The Operation Failed, in Outlook 2002

Everytime I click send/receive a message box pops up that says The operation
failed.

When editing/setting up email accounts, and going to Test Account Settings,
everything works fine, including the test email.

If I compose and send, it works properly.

But I cannot receive any email into Outlook. And hitting Send/Receive
always pops up the error message box.

Any ideas??

I can now send and receive. Thank you. However, I cannot locate all of my
past emails, their related folders, my contacts, calendar, stuff like that.
Do I have to import that back in or something??
