Default how to configure outlook2002 to send mails through gmail?

I have configured outlook 2002 as per instructions on Microsoft's Support
Site. But, the problem is that I cannot send mails through my GMail Mail
Account. I can send mails using outlook express or mozilla thunderbird. But
even after configuring Outlook 2002 with the same parameters, I cannot send
it through Outlook 2002.

What is the problem? Is it something like, Outlook 2002 does not support
port 465 for SMTP? Or it does not support port 465 for SSL Connections?
