Default missing rfc822 header delimiter

I am using MS Outlook 2003 to connect to a Lotus Domino server. When I send
mail, it bounces back from the receiving server (so it does get out) saying:

Error transferring to mail.anydomain.com; Invalid or missing RFC822 header
delimiter. Invalid or missing RFC822 header delimiter.
