Default Network problems are preventing connection to Exchange server

I was reinstalling Outlook and had an error message saying something like
"Network difficulties are preventing connection"
I looked in this community section and saw two other people had the same
difficulty.
I also saw that one person had received a helpful answer but still had a
difficulty- she was asking "What the heck is an exchange server anyway?"

By experimenting around the 'helpful comment' that she did get I was able
FINALLY!! to get in - simply by opening or using "Personal folders" instead
of Address book or exchange server.

I came in this time hoping to pass this information to those who were stuck
and I hope this message gets through somehow. I really think the
instructions could be made easier. OUTLOOK is supposed to be the "Big
Brother" to Outlook express but it seems that OUTLOOK EXPRESS is a great deal
quicker to work with and also has some nice touches that I have not yet found
in outlook.
