some emails are blank when opened

I just installed office 2003 and used outlook for several days everything worked OK. Then I imported from my outlook xp pst into my 2003 pst, contacts came in just fine and emails came in as well but after I did this some select emails that I could read are now blank, both new,(2003) old emails, (xp) and newly downloaded email . some have attachments some do not, I get the header but everything else is blank. I now have to click on a icon at the top of the emails (that I can read) to display images where as I did not have to do that before. I was reading some other tech net's and thought I may have corrupted my profile so I created a new profile but have the same results. One last note I have not activated the office 2003 but still have 40+ times to open it before I have to could this have anything to do with it?
