Message cannot be sent from otbox

I am using a fresh installation of Outlook 2003. When I compose a ne
email and click the send button, the message is transferred to th
outbox with no date stamp included. If I try to send the message i
remains in the outbox, if I forward the same message from the outbox i
will be date stamped and sent leaving the original unstamped messag
still in the outbox. Any ideas on how to configure Outlook to stop thi
happening

Don't know if this helps but if I am conneceted to the net and compos
and send an email it goes through and is recieved
