Default The Operation Failed

I installed an MSDN Beta of Office 2003 last year, which expired. I
uninstalled it and put Office XP back on. Since I've done that Outlook will
send mail, but will not receive it. It just sits there. If I click the
Send/Receive button I get an alert box that says, simply, "The Operation
Failed."
