Outlook will not exit

After loading Win2k and office 2k I updated all the paches
from MS update and now Outlook 2k will not exit and it
hangs at Please wait while Microsoft Outlook exits. I
tried reloading office, reloaded win2k and office. I do
not have any other sw loaded just for that reason. Any
suggestions? I tried to contact MS what a waste of time.
After 2 millions xfers got no where.
