Debug error and Runtime error in Outlook 2002

I am getting two different error messages when opening
Outlook for the first time after logging in. Outlook
will close down and when I start it up again, it works.
The first error message says
Microsoft Visual C++ Debug library window
"Debug Error!
Program C:\proga~1\MICRO~2\Office10\OUTLOOK.EXE, Abnormal
program termination
(Press retry to debug the application

The next one says"
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library window
Runtime Error!
Program:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10
\OUTLOOK.EXE
This application has requested the runtime to terminate
in an unsual way. Please contact Applications Support
team."
I have tried the two suggestion contained in the
Knowledge base webpage. I am running Norton's AntiVirus
Professional and Office Professional XP

Help, this is driving me crazy.
