I have installed Office 2003 Pro and I am having a problem with Outlook
closing. When I close, it appears to do so. When I look in the right side of the Windows XP Pro Taskbar I see it still there. When I attempt to open Outlook again it will not. I then looked in the Task Manager/Processes and see two Outlook.exe's running. When I close them the Icons will go away. I can then open Outlook but the same thing happens when I close it. For some reason Outlook remains running. Please Help Thanks,Ray |

I am experienceing the exact same problem. It is driving me nuts. (Just my opinion - Office 2003 seems full of bugs. I got i preinstalled on a Dell 4600 with Win XP Pro. I have Office XP o another Dell 8250 and have had no problems with it. I have tried reinstalls of office and still have this and numerous other problem with Office 2003. Access and Outlook 2003 in particular. I Wonder i Dell will let my downgrade to XP) I have run all updates and patches. Tried the "fix problems" utilit in add remove programs and nothing works. I removed the Busines Contact Manager as that was the source of another problem when I opene Outlook. Can someone please help - alabasterblac ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted via http://www.mcse.m ----------------------------------------------------------------------- View this thread: http://www.mcse.ms/message349154.htm |

My experience with XP has been good. But I have seen numerous posts o people happy with Office 2003. I just wish I could fix this problem. Outlook 2003 has some nice features that aren't available in XP. Bu if the program doesn't work what good is it. Dell support wil probable just tell you to reinstall Office or even Windows and see i that fixes things. I cannot find alot of information about this problem. I wonder ho common it is - alabasterblac ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted via http://www.mcse.m ----------------------------------------------------------------------- View this thread: http://www.mcse.ms/message349154.htm |
