Default Abnormal Program Termination

Problem :- Outlook 2000 gives an Error message when
starts "VC++ RunTime Library Abnormal program Termination"
and stops.

Tryouts :- I tried reinstalling Outlook only from the
OFFICE 2000 standard. I tried the reinstallation of whole
Office 2000 software. I tried the uninstallation by
deleting the directories and removing the registry values.
I tried upgrading the Service packs of Windows 2000 and IE
6. I tried Office 2000 Service packs.

Nothing worked. The problem is only with Outlook. All
other office programs are working. Any solutions?

Thanks for your reply. This article leads to me to an
article ID 296192. I found that the Outlook works
with "/safe" switch and also the crash is due to an Add-in
program for SAPM filtering
(http://www.downloadspamsoftware.com...l_ella_spam.asp
)But uninstalling the SPAM software always crashes the
outlook.

I experienced the same problem and was also able to gain access by usin
the /Safe switch. This prevents use of the preview pane. I found
however, that once Outlook was open, I could open a second instance o
Outlook without the /Safe switch and the preview pane was operational
