Default Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar

When I installed Outlook 2003, the new Email, Contact,
Task, etc. buttons disappeared from the shortcut bar. Is
there a way to get them back? I've tried to find them
and add them but can't find a way.

Also, I can no longer use Word as my email editor. Is
this because I'm using Word XP? How can I change this so
I can use Word as the editor?

You need to use the same versions of outlook and word to use certain
envelope functions, including wordmail. The only way to fix it is to upgrade
Word or revert to Outlook 2002.

Which shortcut bar are you talking about? if it's a toolbar in outlook,
tools, customize to reset it. if it's the office shortcut bar, you'll need
to recreate them using command line switches. See help for the proper
switches to use.

Yes, I'm referring to the office shortcut bar with the
buttons to open programs/files.

Can you tell me why I am getting the following error when
attempting to send a Word/Excel document as the body of an
email? Is it because of the different versions of the
programs - 2003 vs. xp?

Word could not load e-mail envelope. This could be
caused by a network connection problem or a problem with
your Office installation.

outlook and the other apps must be the same version to use many of the mail
integration features, such as word mail or the office envelope.
