Hopefully someone can give me a quick answer to this problem...
I just upgraded my Office XP installation to Office 2003 Enterprise. Now, whenever I try to open an email or calendar item, task or note, I get the following error: "Can't open this item. Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again." I have tons of diskspace and memory available. I am running on Windows Server 2003. Any ideas? |

Solved it. It turned out to be the MS Exchange connection. Changed it to
"Use Cached Exchange Mode" then changed it back, and everything worked fine. I posted in a message in microsoft.public.outlook that involves the same
error message, but it may not relate to your situation. The subject of the message in case you're interested is: Outlook 2003: Message Box Appears: "Can't open this item. Out of memory or system resources. Close some or programs and try again" FYI. Best of luck. -T "David Allen" <david_v_allen@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:eUlkJ$ZnDHA.1728@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > Hopefully someone can give me a quick answer to this problem... > > I just upgraded my Office XP installation to Office 2003 Enterprise. Try minimizing Outlook 2003 to release the lion's share of its memory.
