Hello,
can everybody tell me how I open a MSG file on the harddisk inside VBA code
to create a mailitem?

Open the file using something like Windows Scripting and it will open
automatically as an Outlook email item.

nice idea. But thats not my problem.
I would open the msg file with vba to extract senders smtp automatically.
