email through outlook from a non-microsoft software package

Hi,

I am new here. I am trying to send email message through a
thirdparty software package(non-microsft). As you know, if
you have a link in a word document, you can simply click
it and the outlook mail box will automatically launch. I
just want to add the same thing to my own page. i.e by
clicking the link ...the outlook box pop up.. and the "To"
field is filled by the receiver's email address. thought
it is a reasonable but I could not figure it out...please
