A client sends emails to their clients announcing events. She requeste that the recipients of the email be allowed to click on a link tha will place the event in their Outlook calendar. I have seen thi functionality on ebay. The link opens an Outlook calendar window wit the topic filled in and the user can assign the time and other option and then click to save. Cany anyone enlighten me on how this is done? This is a low budge client and is not going to spend thousands to add this functionality If that is what it takes, no need to go into detail. If their is som existing code or it can be completed for roughly $500 I'm interested i details. Thanks for any leads. BTW-I attempted a search in this forum but kept getting error "mus enter 4 words" which I had already done. and ----------------------------------------------- ~~ Message posted from http://www.ExcelTip.com ~~View and post usenet messages directly from http://www.ExcelForum.com |

It's done with iCalendar -- either files stored on the web server or
generated on-the-fly by code on the server. You can create iCal items by saving Outlook appointmenst with the File | Save As command. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "amansker" <amansker.11jwez@outlookforum.com> wrote in message news:amansker.11jwez@outlookforum.com... > > A client sends emails to their clients announcing events.
