Default copying contacts and calendar from PC to laptop

Santa brought me a Sony Viao for Christmas. I have MS
Outlook as my e-mail and calendaring system on my PC.
Bought a DataTraveler (Kingston; little lighter-shaped
disk w/128 mb memory plugs into USB port) so I could copy
stuff from PC and download to laptop.

Still can't for the life of me, after reading many of the
chats in this area, figure out how to copy my 1) contacts
and 2) calendar onto the DataTraveler and download into
MS Outlook. All I've gotten is an "attachment" in an e-
mail when I do what the instructions say.

How do I:
1) copy my contacts into the laptop Outlook program
2) copy my calendar into the laptop Outlook program

Thx.

Default Re: copying contacts and calendar from PC to laptop

You need to export those folders to a .pst file and copy that to the laptop,
then use File->Open to open them in Outlook. Then use drag and drop to
place the items into your laptop Outlook folders.
