error message

hi, have been sent a legit email with an attachment on it compressed in a zip
file,when i try to open it i get this error message,,,,,THE
COMPRESSED(ZIPPED)FOLDER IS INVALID OR CURRUPT.is this a problem at my end or
is the sender sending me a bad file,,,,,,im running norton and zone alarm?

It is a problem at the other end. Have your friend send the file again.
