Default Annoying Problem

I've posted before concerning this but never really got
a satisfactory answer and was hoping someone can
clarify or point me in the right direction for a solution.
When viewing say my phone list (or any other data)
in table view and I have the In-Cell Editing OFF the
table initially opens and selects the last row of the table.
Is there a way to have the first row selected when this table
initially opens?? Of course when I select the first row and
go somewhere else and return to the table the first row is
selected. But, I want the first row to be selected initially.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
James

This is default for a db, which can be ammended in codeing, as to whether
you can amend in OL????
In my version of OL, in Phone List the first initial row is 'add new record'

Right. When I have the 'add new record' showing it
is initially selected. But, I didn't know that a db
goes to the end of the recordset by default.
