We had this discussion with Microsoft some years ago, but the upshot of it was that, if you want to be sure that the new elements appear in a new item of your form design, then you have to include the version designation in the form name. That is, publish it to a new name. Just changing the property named VersionNumber does not ensure that the form will be updated in the cache system. Hence, to make sure that a new item contains the newest design elements, publish it with a new name. The downside is that you then have to use a utility to change the messageclass field of all the old items that were created with that "form" (sic). Hollis D.
