gretings all,
using xl2k. For some reason, I have suddenly been plagued with General Protection Faults on a massive scale. We have been able to track down the casue to microsoft addins. the last was the Analysis Toolpack - VBA. before unchecking this addin, pressing any key on the keyboard cause an immediate GPF. prior to that it was the Autosave Add-in. With that addin, the GPF occured when excel tried to load the autosave addin meaning I could not open excel at all. We un-installed and re-installed excel from disc but that apparently did not fix the problem. Has anyone had any experience with this problem. Any help would be appreciated. tks BooleanBrain |

I've never seen real issues like this with the add-ins, but I suppose it
could always happen. Firstly I would try detect and repair or possibly even a re-install over the top, but before you do that look for your toolbar customisation file *.xlb and delete it. Excel will make a new one, but see if that helps. Also if you have any custom start-up templates book.xlt or sheet.xlt try taking them out of xlStart in case they are corrupt. *.xlb may be hidden so search on hidden files too. -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England nick_hodgeTAKETHISOUT@zen.co.uk.ANDTHIS "BooleanBrain" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:0faa01c54673$6ffa5fb0$a601280a@phx.gbl... > gretings all, > using xl2k. > For some reason, I have suddenly been plagued with General > Protection Faults on a massive scale.
